One of the most beautiful lakes in the National Park, with nice paths and villages. Take a colectivo from Huaraz to Llupa (or a taxi to Pitec) where you start the hike. Just before the lake there is a steep climb. You do not need equipment to succeed the climb but do wear good shoes. Below the Nevada Churup lies the turquoise lake Churup. We recommend this day hike to get used to the altitude.
